Environmental Impact & Statistics Of Electric Cars

Electric cars are the future of transportation for the world. The increasing pollutions and greenhouse effects have triggered the humankind to find more alternatives to tackle the problem. Here comes the electric cars as alternative transportation to reduce the poisonous gas emissions and carbon dioxide causing greenhouse effects which have also lead to the ozone layer depletion of the atmosphere. These hazardous activities can even lead to the complete extinction of the entire human in the world. And the never-ending increase in the usage of vehicles has paved the way for the existing fossil fuels depletion. So there should be an alarming drift to be done in society to save the planet and teach humans to hug nature.

To make the environment that we exist to make clean it’s necessary to use or rely on renewable resources more than the fossil fuels which is constantly depleting and the major cause of the poisonous gas emission.

To resolve the issue electric cars were introduced, as it was invented in the year 1832.it got into the main stage in the recent decade only. Now also many countries are not much aware of the potential of electric cars. The practical use of the first cars was in the US. Clean electricity grid chargeable electric cars have now dramatically entered the American transportation and helped them to reduce global warming emissions.

The EVs have improved its efficiency by widening the number of available models and by using lower carbon electricity more often. Emissions from charging the grid have improved in 76 percent of the regions over the past three years. If electric cars are delivering their full potential the society can rely on the clean power grid.

The greatest difference in the manufacture of battery electric vehicles compared with gasoline vehicles is in the type and size of batteries required.

As per the different statistical data, the worldwide number of electric battery vehicles used globally from 2012 to 2017 is around 1.9 million. As electric cars have received a global acceptance many automakers are intending to tap the market for electric vehicles. The world’s bestselling electric vehicles include Tesla’s Model S, Nissan’s Leaf and Toyotas Prius Plug-in Hybrid. And we can also see that there is a dramatic increase in the sales of battery electric cars increased 73% in 2018to 1.26 million units, after already jumping 86% the year before. In just two years there is a threefold jump in sales worldwide. It is really a credit to the electric cars as they have flourished in its early age.

In 2015 there was a decline in the sale of electric vehicles. But the technology improvements and the batteries getting cheaper makes it a better promise for the future. This can always give hope to the EV’S catch up with the sales target set by the policymakers and manufacturers.

In 2019 the global market expects a boom in the EV market as new models continue to enter the market. As there is an increase in the sales the automakers are very keen to produce EV’s which suits all the tastes of the customers by producing luxury and mainstream segments.

China is ranked as the largest market for all-electric vehicles with 61% of the worldwide sales. Other countries that favor the electric vehicles market are the US with 16.6% and Norway with 3.6% this also triggered the government to give more incentives including subsidies, exemptions from tolls and parking fees. Many global cities have grasped electric technology as a new phase for increasing pollution. For instance, Amsterdam has a program that facilitates the construction of charging stations on peoples requests, Paris gives permission to power up electric cars at Autolib recharge stations. Some cities like the United States have included EV’S have their city fleet.

In order to sustain the electric car industry, cities, countries, and industries need to keep finding direct research and promote purchase subsidies, better fuel economy, standards, and zero emission mandates. The International Energy Agency claims that electric cars can be promoted properly if the fuel taxes and grid decarburization endeavors could enhance cost-effectiveness.
